Run your own search(X) engine on any Arch Linux system

searX

Update: September 24th, 2019. From the third of August.
Instead of ...

sudo systemctl enable searx.service && sudo systemctl start searx.service

it changed to ...

sudo systemctl enable uwsgi@searx.service && sudo systemctl start uwsgi@searx.service

 

 

If you do not want to use our searx instance or another instance, you can simply run your own at home.

An Arch Linux system is required.

 

Run the following commands:

pikaur -S searx
sudo systemctl enable searx.service && sudo systemctl start searx.service

Enter in your browser http://127.0.0.1:8888/
